vista ain't Stalin.

As you may know, as of 30 June 2008, Windows XP has been 'debunked' - you will not be able to purchase a copy of Windows XP from Microsoft.

The only way(s) to get XP, from what I know, is on the Eee-like PCs and through downgrades from certain PC manufacturers.

Vista is like Stalin, in the sense that Vista took over XP, and there was no downgrade option. You were dictated to use Vista, the way you would have to listen to Stalin when he was the leader of the Communist Russia.

The difference: Microsoft never caused a famine. Well, excluding the times when people forked out $/£ for Microsoft Software, which are expensive to, oh, I don't know, the teens?

Vista: it's not Stalin, it's more like Gorbachev. Not perfect, but very friendly.

Now, we just need to wait for a computer Perestroika... Linux? [no, apple is not perestroika. it's capitalism.]

Thanks to Buzz Out Loud, episode 757 for the History teaser. I now know more about History.
