Obama's speech to the Muslim World in Cairo, Egypt, June 4 2009.
One of the promises Obama made, finally fulfilled. A speech to open up the dialogue between USA and the Muslim world. As an Christian Indonesian, I'm pleased to have a US president that respects Muslims, understands their point of view, and is willing to listen to them. Because what this means is the end of US 'colonialism' over Islamic states, such as Indonesia, where the US is seen as an enemy.
"Whatever we think of the past, we must not be prisoners to it."
--President Barrack Obama
Indeed, it's the notion of a new beginning for US-Islam relationship.
